fluttershy is never married to him. He is immortal and she is aged. He was taking care of her as Jim said they are just friends. That’s why it was never done , just friendship

Either way nobody forces you to make fluttercord canon in your fanfics or comics. Its just probably what majority will figure out based on things that were present. We only have Fluttershy wanting to marry him in yesterday epsiode and then living with him in the Finale. People kind of add two and two together.

Not for everyone, it isn’t. There’s nothing wrong with never getting married or having children so long as that was your choice and you’re still happy with your life, which Fluttershy seems to be.
 
As for her work, yes she’ll probably get too old to do it on her own at some point, and she’ll likely have to find somepony to pass the sanctuary onto someday, something she’d have done even if she had a family.

It is very depressing the older you get and you still dont have a family. Not to mention without support, she will have a hard time taking care of animals when she grow older. And especially Fluttershy was always acting very motherly, i think it would be loss for her if she never had kids of her own.
