Nothing Big Jim says is canon. If it is in the show, it’s canon. At least, that’s how I’ve always seen it. So Discoshy is ambiguous and so is every shipping, except CheesePie.

Stuff like this is why Gen 5 is somewhat promising. From what I heard, it’ll only have 1 head writer for the first 2 seasons, meaning that continuity errors and conflicting interests will be lessened

“open to interpretation” mean i can say it’s canon and it’s a valid statement. It’s not canon ONLY if some writer or Hasbro producer confirm that they stayed platonic. So it is technically canon as much as CheeesePie since both ships could be denied with different interpretations.

Cant say if you guys trolling or can’t read. Not only you confuse “in my opinion” and “it’s work either way” with “it’s 100% not canon” but you also confuse animation director with a writer or story editor (which is Haber and he implied that Discoshy and AppleDash are canon)

Not only Big Jim isn’t a writer so he can’t act as a word of god, but he also admit its just his opinion and interpretation that they are romantic is also valid. So people who say it’s canon are also right. THis tweet and post is pointless because you might as well post any random person having this headcanon.

In regards to FlutterCord shipping, I can take it or leave it. But I’m glad that Fluttershy and Discord still remain friends over the years.

I think the overreactions in Equestria Girls to Flash Sentry and Timber Spruce did affect romantic relationships for the main characters in FiM, or lack thereof. If you were a side-character it was okay though.
 
Pinkie was the exception because there was pretty much only one character that she could’ve been paired with (which she ended up with) unlike the rest.

oddly enough the show has never followed his wishes. and this is the same person that said lyra and bonbon were just platonic friends. but the writer said yeah to it so take it for the moneys worth. i knew somebody would post this on here anyways. most likely some anti or something. Jim miller has denied alot more ships than just this one. and some of them became flat out canon. but either way its still a fun thing to ship canon or not. i dont personally listen to jim because he never changed much of the show or the aspects of it. it was always the writers. but youre all welcome to disagree.
