@CronoM
Don’t you come at me with “common sense”! I’ll give you “common fucking sense”! And you’ll feel it when you get it!
Ahem… I believe Starlight Glimmer is cool.
@InuYugiHakusho
XD Your kidding right? Everything about Starlight’s delivery was a half assed and inconsistent nonsense. Her back story is an absolute mess, her personality consistency was a mess, most of her relationships were forced as heck, she is mostly immune to having consequences for her actions, and her finales as a protagonist are some of the worst ever written. No one thinks the Season 6 finale was well written, literally everyone was yeeted away by changeling grunts, even Celestia and Luna, just so Starlight could be forced into the protagonist role by the lazy writers.
Even the uploader doesn’t buy that she’s better, this was a JOKE upload.
@InuYugiHakusho
You know, Sunset’s budding friendship with Trixie has practically vanished, Wallflower Blush is getting the kind of treatment from the show that Sunset had given her, & we know for sure that Kiwi Lollipop & Supernova Zap are all but assured to never returning in any meaningful way. Also, Sunset’s arc came to its end in Forgotten Friendship.
@Background Pony #76D0
It’s an upgrade in the sense that unlike Sunset, Starlight got a detailed backstory that added context to her villainous motives, meaningful friendships with secondary characters that weren’t just a one-off thing, family members introduced, and a definitive conclusion for her character arc.
It might be an “upgrade” only on the sense of streamlining. Pick Sunset, remove all depth, all the things that make her interesting, and you get Starlight.
