Honestly of all the Mane 6, Fluttershy would seem to be the first of the Mane 6 to some out in support of a transgender friend coming out. Deep empathy is part of her character. The only thing muting her might be her own fear of saying anything.

My “people” are military historians. Particularly when you’re dealing with the Second World War (which is almost impossible to separate from rabid nationalism) it isn’t uncommon to find people with an unabashed fanboyism for one of the major combatants. In my experience, Germany is easily the most mystified and worshipped by those who don’t know better.
 
In these cases, you get people shouting German words (the meanings of which they either don’t know, or only have a cursory knowledge of) and talking about how they’re “so cool sounding.” The German language is held up on a pedestal in this regard.
 
The behavior of Fluttershy in this image, wherein she says something completely out of the blue and lacking any context or reason, is very similar to the slavish fanboyism of wehraboos.
 
Any connection that any of you make, including the argument that I’m somehow comparing trans people to Nazis, is completely on you and is in no way represented or supported by anything I have said. If you won’t accept that explanation, then all I can say is “oh well.” Quite frankly, this all reads as a couple people looking for something to be offended by.

The choice of comparison is on you, though. The comparison being even not really a valid one because you are comparing saying something with listening to something.
 
That aside, the fact that you don’t seem to have the ability to imagine the context in which Fluttershy is fully aware of what she is saying and it is relevant is on you. The artist is not there to spoon-feed you rather obvious possible contexts.

WHO doesn’t magically “say” anything to make an ICD entry appear, the process of the inclusion of the diagnostic criteria is evidence-based as well as peer-reviewed.
 
The reason it’s not included in DSM-5 is that six years ago when it was published APA didn’t find the evidence for inclusion sufficient. As opposed to WHO ICD-11 which was agreed upon by WHO member nations this year, and is the one that includes the gaming addiction.
 
And even then, APA didn’t reject it back in 2013 because there is compelling evidence against, just because the evidence for it was not found sufficient back then.

Also, a single essay, not peer reviewed, from a psychology PhD whose main research focus is not even gender, is not an expertise equivalent to WHO by any conceivable standard, so why do you even link to it? at most, it’s a curious personal opinion of a single person whose main expertise is not even in the area we are talking about - in other words, not a proof of anything whatsoever.
 

 
Science doesn’t operate on beliefs. Yes, biological sex is roughly speaking defined by the chromosomal composition, albeit there are a lot of nuances to that statement that you leave out. Yes, the resulting primary sexual characteristics are routinely used as an imprecise but cheap method to determine biological sex of a newborn human or an animal when genetic testing is not available or practical.
 
None of this has anything to do with the current scientific definition of gender and has little to no relevance to discussion of transgender rights artwork.

Besides that, current science still holds the foundational belief that sexual/gender identity is based of chromosomes and present genitalia at birth, and in any sort of grey area, which genetic material (sperm or ova) is made. That is how we identify every living thing on the planet. To argue gender as some social expression and make distinctions that aren’t even needed (since personality covers that just fine) is just factually incorrect, and dishonest to argue from.
