Yeah, despite how “primitive” the game may look by today’s standards, it had some impressive bosses, and gameplay, and there’s some things about it, I kinda prefer over later StarFox games.

Yeah, I once beat one of the three routes with all my team-mates dead. It’s actually harder, because all the enemies they normally defeat for you are now focused on you, so you actually end up with more enemies, and it becomes harder.  
Also, I think you need your team alive in order to get a 100% score for each stage. (Though, honestly you get nothing, but satisfaction for getting 100%.)

Y’know, in the original SNES StarFox game, your computer-controlled team-mates actually can die. (No Great Fox mothership invented yet for safe escapes/pit-stops/repairs.) So hopefully, Fluttershy doesn’t get upset if Peppy or Slippy lose to much energy.

She plays it because she thinks the animal characters are cute.
