Am I the only one who doesn’t care that DT and SS are mean?  
I mean I still like them because they accomplish their task well.
 
And I think the cmc aren’t entirely undeserving of a little bullying

I’m pretty sure that’s been explored before. In fact I remember a really cute comic with her going off on her own and befriending Pip.

You know, I call that kind of person (yes, I know some in RL) “the muppets”: spineless, when they talk the voice that comes out is another person’s, and it’s only because of a physical impossibility that they don’t have the other’s hand (hoof, in Spoon and Tiara’s case) up their butt to play puppeteer.

This is 10000% my headcanon, by the way. I’m glad people share it with me.

And it’s really Tiara who’s the cunt.

I like it. Either this or she’s just a fake person, and just does what her friends are doing.

If we haven’t seen her at all since, my headcanon will be that after that confrontation, she was reminded of the fact that her original goal was to help DT stop being such a cunt and had a long, heated argument with her regarding her attitude.
 
If SS stopped supporting her bitchy attitude, there goes the vast majority of her positive reinforcement to do so at this point.

I like to think Silver Spoon is there because
 
A) Sympathy for Diamond Tiara and willing to be her friend despite the sometimes abuse and alienated from other ponies
 
B) Silver Spoon’s mom / dad is Filthy Rich’s maid / butler / secretary so they grew up close and Silver Spoon just thinks that’s how you’re supposed to act thanks to Diamond Tiara.

I assumed their parents were friends or business partners or something, so Silver became friends with Tiara because she was around a lot.

Hmm, in One Bad Seed she seemed pretty genuinely evil.

It’s not peer pressure, she really is a jerk. She’s a lot less of a jerk than DT though, SS has limits to what she’ll go through with. And she’ll know when she’s gone too far and apologize.
 
she’s not a jerk with a heart of gold, but maybe a heart of silver.

It seems to be a combination of peer pressure and the desire to be “cool”. If it were physical abuse, I would know.

In her heart, she really believes that if she sticks with her friend, as much of a bluh bluh huge bitch as she is, eventually she’ll come around. Unfortunately, to maintain that friendship, she’s learned to go along with that horrible attitude and its become learned behavior for her.
