I have no idea! :D As you can tell, I didn’t go for a “wave of color” this year where characters were aranged by their primary colors. Not only did that make the process a lot faster and easier, but I think it looks significantly better…. Unfortunately, that also makes characters harder to find. But that’s part of the fun!

Thank you! And thank you for drawing so many characters for people! I believe you contributed the most drawn characters to this collab, accounting for just over 3% of all sumbissions. Which considering how many there are, that’s a massive quantity!

I actually did start color coding this one again like previous years. But then I came to realize that it was just looking really boring, as well as taking so much time (I basically placed one character, then had to scroll through 1000+ other characters trying to find the one that most closely matched). I like this approach a lot better - it looks a lot more fun, more exciting, more like a diverse community! Ditching the color coding was probably the best decision I’ve made for this collab.

Photoshop was peaking at around 40GB for me when working with the “master” file, but I had a few sub files that I did the bulk of the work in (front half, back half, closing), and then just merged them together and made minor adjustments from there.

Unfortunately, it probably is a bit too late. If I have to make any updates, I may be able to squeeze another character in, but I’m not currently planning on making an update. Worst case, you can always submit them to next year’s collab.

It actually was supposed to be posted last night around midnight GMT… I finished this over 24 hours ago, but due to the Valentines/Hearts and Hooves photo being featured just the day before, I opted to wait another day before posting to give that image more time to shine.
