Understandably it’s only a little light and definitely doesn’t fix the original

The whole thing with the original pic is just crazy. While I won’t go after anyone involved with it I still feel like i definitely see them in a new light. Glad to see this pic to let things settle down a bit and maybe get some good. Ty Jay

Please consider that the conventions may not be banning them, the artist, or their art. They may just be trying to have a convention with a level of drama that fits within their budget. Even though saying NOPE to that kind of drama creates its own kind of drama, at least it’s less drama than you’d be likely to be welcoming to your convention otherwise.

I do enjoy a good joke about my sexuality/ nationality e.c.t. Just because the joke is focused on stereotypes doesn’t mean it’s offensive.

Aahhh, everyone relax I think I get what he’s saying.
 
This is not meant to be damage control, I didn’t mean for it to be that.
 
I just wanted to make a joke that allowed people to see the original in a more wholesome way, as though it was just the setup to a subverted expectation punchline; which for very many people it did, very VERY many people.
 
A lot of people enjoyed my little joke, in fact when I originally had the idea and tweeted the idea, a lot of people really wanted to see me draw it.
 
It was not meant to make light of the racist tones of the original, but to create an alternate reality where it wasn’t actually racist for people to get a little laugh and have a breath of fresh air.
 
I apologize that it still offends you and you are in no way required to like me.
 
Have a lovely day, and I hope this doesn’t upset you for too much longer.

You really need to step back and look at which image, and which artist, you are attacking. This artist did not create the image that is upsetting you. This artist is not responsible for the images that you are objecting to.
 
Take a moment, and actually read this image’s dialog, and you will see that you are directing your outrage to the wrong person.
