You’re right - we don’t have a dedicated team of staff standing by to tag (or even review) every image that gets uploaded.
 
Tagging, like uploading, is community sourced on this site. When your ban ends, if you don’t want to help the community that way, that’s your call - but please stop bitching about it.

It’s almost like people can assist in ways that benefit people other than themselves, can enjoy helping out, and add the very tags you’re berating people for adding. Or something.
 
Putting that aside, there is a section of the rules specifically pointing out that complaining about tags without reporting or adding them isn’t something you should be doing, the pointlessness of the act itself aside.  
So, wouldn’t recommend it.

You only have to do a little simple math to see why that’s completely impractical. 1721362 images on derpi as of this moment. 4 admins, 7 members of the technical team, 21 mods, 15 assistants. All of them unpaid, doing this on their own free time. Meantime, every single user on the site can change tags. You don’t have to demand the OP do it, you can just fix it, you’ve been given that power. Yes, absolutely, tell OP they missed one, but then just fix the problem and go on with your day. Or, alternatively, if you don’t want to help, don’t bother commenting.

Credit where it’s due, I suppose. The mods have been able to dupe a surprising amount of people into going along with this sham that anyone other than the site moderators should be tasked with moderating this site.

It’s everyone’s job. Especially you if you filter a tag and want to not see images, you tag that shit so it’s filtered. Don’t ever expect that everyone else will just know how to tag things properly. I mean yes, call them on their bad tagging, that’s fine, but first, fix the damn problem since you saw it.

… When you post a comment only to mention a missing tag, take a moment and add the tag yourself. You know it belongs there, you have the ability to correct it. So fix it.
