You just gave me the biggest freaking smile, thus I am willing to come to your side in your darkest hour. I will fight to victory or death alongside you, for you sparked joy in this one.

It’s runs fine, it’s just so buggy that I can’t do the quests to save the ghoul town from enslavement, which was the final straw for me. For “one of the greatest games ever made,” it’s not very fun. Doesn’t help that 1 was just OK.
And I never mention 76 since it’s a different beast altogether.
We might want to take this to the Videogame thread instead of here, since we’re getting off topic.
It’s not really fair to compare a much older RPG game that had to make do with the limitations of the technology at the time with a more modern FPS style affair, got to say if 2 wasn’t running well on your system something must have gone wrong with the install, many patches were available.
Even so 76 was so bad at launch it could brick the hardware it was built for (I know I mentioned patches for 2 but they should not be as large as 50 GB for day one), add the horrendous customer service and support and it becomes a real crappy experience.

I’ve beaten 1 and gave up on 2 after realizing that it made FO3 look bug-free. NV is a better RPG, but 3 is a better game and offers a more enjoyable Fallout world than 1 or 2 did. I’m not defending Beth using Rotten Tomato ratings to judge how much to pay them (I have heard that it was sadly popular at the time for companies to do), but I’m focusing the finish product.
A valid point but it’s gets more respect on being truer to the OG series. Bethesda did a fair job for a new generation with their fallout 3 but it strayed a little too far from the RPG elements. I can’t forgive what they did to obsidian on NV especially as they worked on 1 and 2, they chose not to pay them fully over a small lack of sales? Maybe if it was advertised more but there was a backlash over 3 when someone saw an advert on a bus and complained like they never saw a movie before.
I’ve lost what little respect I had for Bethesda after 4, I mean it’s not a bad game but it doesn’t feel as vast as before. Even the DLC seems lacking. 76 and I’m done with them.
