By that logic Discord and Starlight should have gotten the same fate. Worst ending.

You can all get bent except PrincessLunYay. Years of (often rightly) complaining about redemption being too easy and frequent, and now the baddest villains getting cut down in battle is some sort of atrocity. There was absolutely no good reason to show any quarter. Best ending.

Neither can I. They never tried to reach out to them even once during the finale. I found this scene disturbing instead of cathartic.

An evil puppeteer and two tyrants executing their already defeated and weakened enemies as well as a defenseless child without so much as a trial. Still can’t believe this is how the show ended.

Me: But she’s just a filly. Doesn’t she deserve a second chance?  
Celestia: HOLOCAUST TO TEH AUTISTIC FILLEH!  
Discord: DIE! DIE COZY!  
Luna: ROT IN AUSCHWITZ AUTISTIC GLOW!

The lightning is what turns them into stone. Discord is the one who shot the lightning. Discord is the one who turned them to stone.

Not just a bad ending, the worst possible ending. Why??
