Yeah, that bothers me too. Especially because I’m not a native english speaker; So I am there, puting my best cards in the table to explain my points, but then, the other person is like “Hey, you had a grammar error in your arguments” and then I’m like “Can you refute my arguments with something valid?” And again, there’s no answer.

Pretty much just as annoying is if someone wrote a post but what was said in it got completely disregarded by someone’s reply only just pointing out a grammar error.  
Saw this happened twice so far.

I’d laugh if the Princesses set the villains free and they were Discord’s judge and jury.

As a fan, it hurts alot for Luna’s case but also pointing out she got the short end of the stick big time in this scenario.
 
My post didn’t focus solely on Luna, I just mentioned Discord’s plan screwed Celestia over too.  
And Cadance too with the Sombra fiasco.

There is some damage that can’t be fixed while Discord is sent away for safety.  
Such as Luna and Celestia’s reputations. His plan made them look like a failures big time. On their very last days as rulers, they end up getting taken out and forced to rely on the Mane 6 to save everyone’s flanks yet again. No, distracting the trio doesn’t fix that. The sisters ended up showing they can’t deal with any bad guys until after they were dealt with.  
Even if Discord’s plan didn’t go haywire, it will still make Luna and Celestia look bad with them getting taken out.  
His plan made the Royal Sisters look bad. Luna suffering worse due to she lost a 1000 years of ruling so her track record looks worse, her ending her rule on a pretty bad note like that did not help there.
 
I am sure Cadance’s reputation with the Crystal Ponies is demolished.  
Through the perspective of the Crystal Ponies, the very monster they thought was dead somehow came back without warning, bypassed everything and easily took over the Crystal Empire. Cadance and Shining Armor failed badly and forced to rely on the Mane 6(and Spike) to bail them out. The Crystal Ponies faith in Cadance and Shining Armor is most likely damaged badly that their rulers can’t protect them from Sombra if he comes back without warning.  
Heck, the Crystal Ponies most likely will never feel peace now due to the lingering fear of the possibility of Sombra CAN come back somehow without warning and the fact their rulers are absolutely powerless if he does so doesn’t help either.  
Flurry Heart is most likely traumatized with her encounter with Sombra there.
 
Twilight can’t fix that kind of damage on her own.  
Discord needs to face the music big time there.
 
I really hope they don’t acknowledge that blasted Cosmos arc and erase that arc.  
Its retcon really screwed up one of the Royal Sisters’ greatest achievements with how it turns out to be essentially a big fat lie. That and the humiliation of the sisters getting possessed(spats on Luna’s character due to she was possessed once in the comic continuality) and getting absorbed by Cosmos like that.

We saw in the first issue of Season 10 when Tempest commented that she thought Discord recently tried to take over Equestria, it was obvious that his role in the disaster that almost ruined Equestria is not well known among the ponies. We know Discord went to Abyssinia on a humanitarian expedition with Fluttershy and Pinkie, obviously Twilight had realized the damaging effects that could occur if the details of Discord’s role were to become known. Thus, Discord had to leave Equestria so that one can repair the damage and ensure that the ponies will be able to accept the decision to forgive him. After all, Discord had risked his life when he provoked Tirek and managed to free the Mane 6 so they could go together against the Terrible Trio.
 
As we believe may have happened to Tempest, the princesses of Equestria have a power of attorney that enables them to impose drastic punishments - and to pardon criminals. Celestia had pardoned Discord twice before Season 9, but when she became acquainted with his “plan” it was seen that she was willing to petrify him on the spot. Tempest was pardoned by Twilight and the other princesses due to her help against the Storm King. But that does not mean that the ponies will just thank and bow, this must be justified - and Discord was after all within the realm of the alicorns when it comes to his position as a spirit of chaos. Anyway; what happened in Season 9 was far more than what could be swept under the rug.
 
Discord if he were in the US, would have been arrested for assisting convicted criminals, helping them out in freedom, giving them dangerous means and helping to create legal complications around their crimes - it is a criminal offense to provoke crimes. There will be mitigating circumstances as he helped in the end, but it will not make him less guilty according to the letter of the law. Which makes the whole story of Discord disguised as Grogar incredible from an American perspective since the american writers must have understood indications of this on popular television for children. It’s not a little scary that the fans and fan fiction writers do better with the question of Discord and Grogar.
 
Twilight thus had to get Discord cleared of the road for damage repair and give the ponies time, moreover, it is a big plus that he should help out distressed Abyssinians during a humanitarian mission and thus gain recognition. But I think Discord will get into trouble with the abyssinian king who may have gotten rid of magical items after being tricked by Discord under the Cosmos Act. In any case, Discord must be confronted with its actions in Season 10 as a friendship lesson - friendship cannot solve everyone; more is needed, not least to learn and be forgiven as the german Brandt did when he knelt for a memorial to the Jews in Poland.

Discord sure did not realize he’s screwing Luna and Celestia over big time in that plan there.  
On their very last days as rulers, they end up looking like failures YET AGAIN and forced to rely on Twilight&co to save everyone’s flanks again. His plan to boost Twilight’s confidence most likely destroyed Luna and Celestia’s confidence.
 
I am sure he screwed up Cadance’s reputation with the Sombra fiasco there. The Crystal Ponies most likely would lose faith in the princess of love due to how the very monster they thought was DEAD came back and essentially took over the Crystal Empire with ease. Flurry Heart probably got traumatized by this too.

Oh yeah, I didn’t thought about that since you mentioned it. Discord forgot the detail that making Twilight looks good was a bad idea, or at least in the way he made it. The ponies maybe even demand the comeback of Luna & Celestia to the throne. Is really dangerous to left her in the throne, because is clear that she have dangerous friends or enemies, like Discord. After all, she made all the job in the series and she attacked all the past villains.

Twilight is probably going to deal with a bunch of nobles that didn’t like how Luna and Celestia ended their rules on pretty crappy notes due to Discord’s plan(like seeing said plan as a sabotage plan to make the Royal Sisters look bad while making Twilight look good) or manipulative nobles twisting it up to try to boot Twilight off the throne.  
She is going to go through some complicated issues there.

Not to mention he literally give to all the villains the information of the Grogar’s bell, a magical artifact with dangerous levels of powers. That can be considered one of the biggest crimes in the series.
