That is one thing… What the hell are Twilight’s parents made of? Son is husband to a Princess and daughter is a Magical friendship alicorn, who is also a Princess.

Did her brother show promise that early? Were her parents super badass in the past?

Celestia: That’s right. Only an alicorn can kill another alicorn.  
Twilight: I thought we are immortal!  
Celestia: We are, but an alicorn can kill another.  
Twilight: Seriously, you want me to kill you?  
Celestia: I’m like 10000 years old. I’m tired. I want to die.  
Twilight: You turned me into an alicorn so I’d kill you?!  
Celestia: Well… yes and I needed someone to take my place. Luna wants some free time too and you could handle both of our jobs…  
Twilight: I won’t do it! You’re crazy!

Celestia: Luna refused to do it and Cadence’s too weak. It’s up to you.  
Twilight: Never! Fuck off!  
Celestia: Oh, you will kill me. You will. One day.
 
But Twilight never killed her. Instead, Celestia spent the next 10000 years in a tiny prison cell. Twilight herself turned evil.
