I think it’s criminal that Sunset Shimmer, a former pupil of Princess Celestia, should be squandered for glorified high-school stories instead of for high-fantasy battles in Equestria, and Tartarus will freeze over before I find myself changing my mind.

That’s not her choice to make, it’s not exactly easy to abandon your entire life to go live on some other world, Sunset obviously only did out of an extreme situation but now she’s acclaimated not to mention the complications of duplicate individuals.

And, what about Celestia? Will Celestia never be able to see her apprentice again, because Sunset decided that she’s not going to take a second chance at being a student of magic? She could always take her human friends with her; surely, living in Equestria as ponies will be more exciting for them than the mundanity of human life.

What is there left for her in Equestria now? She can go and make up with Celestia but aside from Twilight and her everyone she loves and cares about is in the human world.
