Lightning dust doesn’t really care about safety and doesn’t consider the consequences for her actions too much, its just how she is. It’s possible she is a sociopath.

Hasbro probably didn’t want Lightning Dust to learn from her mistakes so they could keep making Rainbow Dash look better in order to keep selling her merchandise.

Honestly my favorite episode of season 8, I think they handled dust really well here, she is in character, she is neither devastated nor lost, she made a nice career for herself and became pretty famous. I’m also glad she didn’t make a heel face turn out of the blue.

Dash’s and scoots relationship was explored a bit more and we finally got a final say about scootaloos flying disability. Spitfire was on fire, and the other washouts were pretty cool.
