Honestly, I feel like this special had a lot of continuity issues, plus the writers omitted abilities the Rainbooms had (like Pinkie Sense) and didn’t give the antagonist a real reason to do the things she did (Wallflower wasn’t actually a villain, maybe that’s why it was difficult to defeat her).

This special had good moments, but in reality the problem was easy to solve, if the Rainbooms had stopped and thought things better.

I feel like after this special, the writers stopped trying to write better plots for the series.

Wallflower Blush was also the most interesting villain of the series. She was essentially creating the problem that she was abusing magic trying to solve. If she hadn’t been stopped, she would’ve eventually destroyed everyone’s memory of her, and for all practical purposes written herself out of existence.

This was the best thing to come out of EQG. You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for a Sunset/Celestia reunion.
