there is always a golden mean; lesbian, hetero, homo - it doesnt matter as long as it’s not being forced down your throat and feels natural. zecora episode from season 1 is the best example of how to do it right, one episode about racism is good enough, all the “friendship school” crap is just trying to appease current leftist propaganda that has the biggest say in current media. you know why injecting leftist propaganda is bad for any media? imagine the same but opposite. would you like to see an episode where pastel horses go to a christian celestial school and learn importance of family? or about illegal immigrants that cross equestrian borders and do bad things so mane six has to build a wall convince them to stop crossing equestrian borders?

Corporate bigwigs can’t help taking something that was, for all intents and purposes, made just to be fun (that worked out great at first) and then injecting something of what they want into it, whether politics, messages, production, abuse of new technology, being fanboys of their own content…
 
If there’s anything to really ‘take away’, I’m just sayin’, every fandom has to go through it, and it always seems the real test.

funny how 10 years ago people mock about mlp turning someone gay (i know thats not a bad thing, but it was a show for children not adult bronies, it was about friendship for kids, not teenages with their everyday problems) and nowdays things are…. well i’m not at liberty to say.

I’m concerned about “silly horses talking about trans rights” because i still remember the fiasco of Powerpuff Girls botching their episode on the matter (mainly because they retroactively branded one random episode as “TRANS RIGHTS UWU” without checking the plot in-depth” and also because the show have a huge following with the asshole @4chan who are not above sabotaging the show if it means they can brag about it on /pol/ between two mass shootings manifestos and Wojak spam
