New Elements have been discovered in the lands beyond Equestria and a new group of villains has emerged. The Knights of Harmony have come to take the originals from Twilight and the gang, and it will take all their friends, old and new, to win the climactic showdown!
But first, a mysterious painting brings up memories of the past, forcing Celestia and Luna to confront their fears. And, meanwhile, Marble Pie is headed off to college, and only Pinkie Pie can plan a suitably super party. But she’s having trouble feeling happy with her sister heading so far away. Will she be up to the task?

Hasbro risks major problems if the transition from G4 to G5 should end in a big mess. As there is a full year between the movie and TV series when the G5 is to be introduced and accepted, it means that one can risk loss of interest and attention. The idea was, after all, to have a transition phase with “Pony Life” and the IDW comics until the autumn of 2022. Now it seems that this can be completed in the summer of 2021 - and a large void will then arise.
G4 is too big to ignore and shut out. G5 is so new, that one must have a good starting point to complete the plans to have at least three seasons until 2025/2026.
What’s happening? Hasbro has canceled the third and final season of “Pony Life”, the trailer for the planned movie that will launch G5 has not been released, and the launch work on the new generation seems very disorganized, and now it looks like IDW can end production of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comics already this year.
Hasbro has probably lost it.
