These are all well after-the-fact claims, and script leaks are always one of those things you have to take with a hefty grain of salt since they are, by nature, unverified and very easily faked by people trying to stir things up.

There’s also no shortage of authors retroactively trying to insert a theme or message into a work that’s been done for a while and for which there was no evidence beforehand… whether it be for a little more attention or just some plain old fashioned virtue signaling.

I’m not flatly saying you’re wrong. Just that it comes off as very dubious.

Also, there hasn’t been much of any Appledash ship tease since season one.

The evidence is literally right in front of you, how is this “wishful thinking”?

Im fine with the shipping, be it Canon or other wise, im more amused by the idea of a Single Voice Actress being the voice for a lesbian couple. Talk about some truely Meta comedy there XD.

that Would be even worse

Maybe he shouldn’t have snuck it in and held it for after the show. If you ask me.

This comes across as wishful thinking. Not necessarily either of them being gay, but this relationship specifically.

All We got in the actual episode was them walking together and talking about helping with chores.
During in the final episode is already a copout doing almost nothing was it makes it worse

appledash was made canon in the show first and foremost.

occam’s razor challenge: try to come up with a simple and satisfying explanation for RD and AJ’s lines that accounts for every nuance of their dialogue besides “they’re together.” then factor in their unusual closeness (RD and AJ aren’t directly touchy-feeling through the series with one another unlike their girlier mane 6 counterparts—their hugs and such are done in big groups only. then acknowledge the “where are they now” setup that was their introduction in the finale.

yes, they didn’t (anticlimactically) outright say they’re married in the show, but neither did they for aunt holiday and auntie lofty, who didn’t even use pet names. you know what the show also didn’t say? They didn’t say AJ’s parents are dead, or that granny smith had died by the time skip, but they instead implied these things. subtext: an important writing tool.

and that last part, applejack is the pony notorious for being shafted in merch, but like i said in the description that one’s really just for fun!

If that’s how apppdash was made canon then it was a big cop out.
Also the shirts mean nothing because Apple Jack has nothing to do with them
