Same, I’m certainly not a morning person, but I’ll take an energy drink (I hate coffee, and tea doesn’t do that much) only if I expect to be outta or low on energy, which is the case when I haven’t managed to sleep.

“Caffeine makes me tired” is not necessarily ironic satisfaction. From Coffee, I once felt more tired from drinking it than I was before, but I can only think of that one time. I can also only think of 2 times in my whole life when I got a caffeine rush. I think both were when I blended the coffee with ice cubes.
 
Caffeine usually doesn’t seem to do much to me, though. Maybe I just didn’t make it strong enough, or maybe I’m just not wired up to get jolts from it easily.

Good thing caffeine doesn’t work on me then. Maybe that’s why I’m not addicted. I can kind of just drink it and not drink it anytime I want because I’m not controlled by it. :D

caffeine withdrawal just gives you a headache, usually; some people get so irritated by that that they lash out, but I think that’s more of a boomer meme at this point

Well, caffeine doesn’t work on me. I get tired if I drink it anyway. I just like the taste, the smell, and the warmth of coffee. I actually drink coffee if my day is too stressful to make myself feel better. It’s my comfort food in a way.

Well coffee contains a drug and your body forms a dependence on it. Since it’s also a stimulant people kinda start feeling the need for it to feel awake, hence why they drink it to “wake up”. Just a bad idea really to get in the habit of using it like that.
 
Course it probably varies depending on how much you drink and when you drink it and just other factors but yeah that’s just what I think is going on.

Well I’m not a morning person either but I don’t really need a cup of coffee to want to interact with people. I guess I just haven’t encountered annoying co-worker or short-fused bosses before.
