I’m not saying he deserves respect, but just that he was doing the right thing in his mind. You can understand why someone would be compelled to do something without agreeing with it.
I behind this one, cause if he wanted to keep his own kind safe, he would’ve just defended them rather then attacking the other 2 pony group without giving them a warning.

I would agree with you….except he literally started a mass riot, created a war machine robot, nearly killed several ponies in the process, and destroyed Sunny’s house.
A lot of people, myself included, don’t see Sprout as a villain villain, since much like some other characters in g4 he was just doing what he thought was right, defending his home from what he thought to be hostile forces, rather than because he just wanted destruction or whatever.
Um…Sprout was the villain here. Was there any doubt about that?
exactly why I see sprout as the villain here.
While I agree with that, I will add something: I think that the mechanism that holds the crystals was created around the same time that the crystals themselves were created, and it is entirely possible that the mechanism and the crystals were originally housed in the Royal Palace in Canterlot, before being sent to Maretime Bay following the ‘Fall of Equestria’ (what I am labeling as the event that lead to the chaos seen at the start of G5, until Hasbro gives it a more…official name).
I think it’s something to keep them all together in one place.
Yeah, we still don’t know why it has a mechanism that the three crystals fit into and it’s unlikely that it’s there for no reason.
Well, I know that Celestia and Luna’s old castle was destroyed (that, or they simply abandoned it). However, I don’t believe that having a home getting destroyed is needed to be an Alicorn-only exceptional moral character and leadership. Twi’s home getting destroyed in S3 was merely a coincidence, and it is entirely possible that she could have been made an Alicorn without the destruction of the Oak Library. I do believe that Twilight would have gotten her castle either way, but the castle could have been in a different location had the Oak Library not been destroyed.
“Alicorn” doesn’t necessarily mean “princess” in Gen 5 as far as we know. Sunny will of course need a new
playsethome to live in, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be a castle–Zipp and Pipp already have one.@GoodVibesGorgeous
It was also historic, based on the (pre-magic loss) lighthouse poster in the hangar of ZH and the lack of other lighthouses in Maretime Bay.
Sunny has gotta live somewhere, and I for one found this building neat & think there’a very interesting story behind it yet to be told. ^^
And what would the boats do without it?
I hope so, it was a really nice-looking house!
