I was just questioning about how the justice will deal with her because of being a fugitive of 2 countries. I am not longer talking about if she deserves or not redemption.

It’s like it’s impossible talking about her without talking about Discord or about how is fault of everbody to make me sad of the buggo.

And that panel is just a fucking mistake, trying to revive a thing that should have died 2 years ago and should have been ignored to avoid further controversy. Nor would I be surprised if IDW makes a story about Chrysalis never caring for her peers and then people want to justify it or want to say that this story is not canon because it does not fit her character.

A season finale that is about whether I should support hypocrites or creatures that started a fucking race war, fuck both sides.

Fuck the inability of the writers to break the status quo to give better redemption arcs as it would be in Discord, fuck they want to pretend epic stories when they don’t want to develop the concepts and justify characters like with Chrysalis, fuck the fanboys who want to defend a character to such an extent that he forgives all his crimes and blames others as if it were the only fucking way to do it.

And I hope that G5 will let G4 die and just be simple stories that never want to pretend to be more than that, a comfortable series instead of a series that only generates hatred.

Discord is also as established not reformed, a living societal collapse and basically kept around because people like/can use his powers outside of like two people.

Tirek at full power’s almost at the same level but thats also partially because that means he’s absorbed Discords power per his finale episodes.

Chrysalis is by herself almost a non threat, and provided people are actually informed about Cozy as a general “this person is a potential threat” like they did with others, she’s basically a very well spoken child.

Discord was alone a threat that needed to be stopped and his power effectively removed from the world to ensure peoples safety(and honestly still is to a large degree).

These three could be beaten by basic security and a competent parole officer.

I love most of Doug’s reviews, and in that one, he has a point: you can’t “epic-ify” a story that wasn’t meant to be epic in the first place.

MLP writers struggle to make complex stories, but it was never meant for more complex stories. It was always meant as a slice-of-life show that makes jokes and teaches life lessons. The “event” episodes that open and close the seasons are the exception, not the rule.

That’s why neither of the three Legion members got much in the way of backstory.

I strongly disagree. I like most of IDW’s comics. They are great at both making licensed comics, and picking up titles from other publishers.

The past IdW are at best soft cannon.

The Season 10 are hard cannon due to being unchallenged and an intentional standalone season so to speak.

MLP worldbuilding makes me questioning many things about Chrysalis in a bad way because it really seems that the writers never had the intention of making Chrysalis gray, since there are more effective methods, whether moral or not, of solving their problem.

But she never does. Even in IDW they remarked her as a cold-blooded cat killer who was simply born that way and strangely, that fits with every official writer’s interpretation about her, meanwhile Discord is someone much more human with his mistakes and virtues. (You will say that IDW comics are not canon, but mother of God, we are talking in an IDW post).

I mean its easy since IDW part is barely existent.
