The Tirek Comic is cannon, as there is no contradictory evidence and the show writers accepted it in using it’s contents for Discord/Grogars jabs at Tirek.

As stated in the Chrysalis section, most comics are not cannon, but later issues may have been adapted or accepted.

Mate, you are the only one having issues.

Attempting to redeem three people who are at worst equal to another villain who was redeemed and given several chances to earn that right is called being fair and just.

You know, Honest and Loyal.

If the only people you care about helping are the ones who benefit you you aren’t being those two things and to add to it are being selfish.

Yes, I have watched the series and besides chrysalis given one ONCE, I would very much like to know where those other’‘multiple’’ chances and those ‘‘constantly’’ refusals you speak of.

Did you even watch the series? Or are you just arguing like this because you can’t stand being told that people can hold different beliefs?

To actually put this into perspective:

Luna: sealed in the moon, given one chance, coupled with literal mind-alteration and a “purge of her evil side”. Still had an episode entirely devoted to her making a mistake and needing to rectify it.

Discord: Petrified for basically torturing ponies mentally and physically(no not all torture requires pain), petrified again when he did the exact same thing, redeemed after basically admitting he caused the entire reason no one liked him and was a glorified bully. Proceeded to betray the main cast With Tirek, got a free pass. Proceeded to endanger them for his pranks. Did not actually help them with most problems despite that being the justification for his release.

Discord then put the entire nation at risk with a poorly thought out plan that boils down to entrapment and manslaughter. Got to decide his minions fate and got a free pass.

At least 3, potentially 5 chances depending on how strict you wanna be.

Starlight: created a cult with indoctrinations methods eerily similar to re-education camps, stole cutie marks. Given a chance in initial encounter, refused. Spent a year in broadcast time plotting to destroy another’s life out of spite, somehow missed Equestria being incapable of handling any threat without said person.

Repeatedly travelled through time to destroy current time line.

Was given, in total, between 2 and 7 chances to be redeemed depending again on how one parses the time travel. Shown the end of the world to help her learn her actions were wrong(though frankly that has other connotations then just that but thats neither here nor there).

Tirek: left to rot and fester mentally and physically for roughly 1000 years after having the one person he trusted and had received proper familial love from effectively turn against him when attempting to conquer a neighboring nation.

Broke out, collected power to restore his own abilities by draining ponies and aided by Discord, defeated, left to rot in prison. Somehow got past the entire Equestrian guard to be penpals with a child.

Was broken out by Discord, egged on, defeated and then petrified after the literal force of all that is good decided he was fine being depowered by Discord.

Actual attempts to redeem, 0.

Cozy Glow: Entered School of Friendship with the intent to manipulate and control the staff to get the magic in Equestria removed as planned between her and Tirek who somehow was able to routinely contact a child. Defeated, sent to Tartarus with no further action.

Broken out by Discord, egged on, defeated, petrified by Discord.

Redemption attempts, 0, and no, attending the friendship school she already planned to over throw before attending does not count as a redemption attempt by and sane individuals understanding of the process.

Chrysalis: attempted invasion, attempted to cocoon and contain species she is required to feed off of. Defeated, catapulted unspecified distance(depending on comics and at this stage they are at best partial cannon, later issues may vary).

Set in motion a plan to replace the largest threats to her invasion, defeated, Changelings “redeemed” through deus ex machina methods and left in exile after the entire army wanting to capture her was led by Starlight Glimmer alone in one offered hoof.

Loosing sanity, attempted another replacement scheme, failed, developed mental derangement and obsession with magic stick.

Collected by Discord, stabilized, egged on, defeated, petrified by Discord.

Attempts to redeem, 1, in incredibly poor circumstances.

Sombra: enslaved empire, ruled with iron hoof, defeated and sealed away for 1000 years, city sealed by him in tandem.

Free’d, empire returns, barely possessing higher brain function attempts to enter empire and capture Crystal heart and empire. Shattered, presumed dead or at least close to it.

Revived/formed by Discord, allowed to leave and continue immediate plans to conquer as Discord uses him as a sacrificial lamb to bring the Trio under thumb and boost the Mane Castes ego.

Presumed and well accepted to be dead.

Number of redemption attempts, 0.

Except Cozy Glow in particular was never offered any chance at redemption. Not to mention the episode Frenemies clearly shows that they have a shot at being redeemed, but all you lot would much rather forget that scene even happened.

Finding people criticizing a piece of work to be cringe, is cringe. If this is enough to not associate with a fandom than you better off not associating with any of them.

Someone tell me this story ends with these two stoned in the place of the three they clearly intend to kill.

The fact that people are getting legitimately upset in theur comments at a canon character because of a strawman presentation of her in a silly comic says everything about why I don’t call myself a brony. Sonic fandom isn’t even this cringe anymore.

Also other than chrysalis I don’t know any other time they got a chance. Are you using your canned beans as a source?
