The writers tend to focus on Rarity’s negative traits when writing her as comic relief, and with her lack of episodes, she’s only been comic relief for the past 2 years, completely destroying any chances of redemption.  
In fanon she’s often portrayed as “that bitchy friend” or a “complete slut”, which is sad, really.

It’s understandable once you consider that people lose interest in characters that have a lack of episodes. People don’t hate Rarity, but they’ve become indifferent to her due to her limited focus.

I don’t think people hate Twilight, they just hate the idea of her becoming an alicorn, Rarity on the other hand, is often portrayed as a flat-out bitch, with many people just completely ignoring her. She’s not the most “hated” so to speak, but many people vastly prefer the other ponies over Rarity.

The Nightmare moon tag is unnecessary for this since NM is Luna’s evil counterpart.

i am tired of people degrading a character because didn’t have its own episode during a season, is BS.

A lot of people do hate Dash, but her vast number of fans more than make up for that. Plus she’s the pony most often associated with the show: how much RD merch do you see compared to Rarity merch?

since a certain 65th episode , I think she’s not the most hated anymore.

Most people I know stopped disliking Rarity at Season 2.
