Holy shit I just posted this image and then went to work. I didn’t think that people were going to assume that this was a scam and report me!
I provided an image source now. I didn’t do it originally because the source TECHNICALLY does not exist. This is an edit of an existing image that I made using Patreon-exclusive nude version of the picture. I actually asked the artist for permission to post this, but he hasn’t responded yet. Also, I assumed that it’d be fine because he’s always given me the ok to do this kind of stuff with my own personal commissions from him, and I made sure to censure the nudity and even crop out the entire bottom half of the picture. But idk. Maybe I crossed a line there by TECHNICALLY posting paid content, even if it is edited in a way to censor the nudity and thereby remove almost the entire point of the paywall. But I just assumed that he might have stopped checking his Patreon messages altogether and went ahead with posting this.
I made this post because I genuinely wanted to get the word out. Not only has Patreon stopped paying Racoon-kun, but the artist himself has put a pause on subscription charges for both Patreon AND Boosty, meaning that he won’t even get any of the backpay that would otherwise be owed to him when the ban is lifted. The ONLY way to give him money is to spend it on his most recent post, and that was why I did this. I wanted to help.
(Edit: Crap, I probably should have manually dropped the Patreon-exclusive high resolution back down to the standard image size, too. My bad.)

Not only that, but another (more official) image from the artist was uploaded recently linked to the boosty.to site, and it certainly seems official to me. And if the artist’s Twitter page has the boosty link, then chances are the link is legit.
Still doesn’t explain the lack of a source link, though.
Huh. Okay maybe it’s legit! Hmm my bad? Hope people still appreciate the value of being skeptical about this sort of thing though. Wishing Racoon-kun the best.
Reported. Perhaps others should report too so it gets mod attention. If it is a scam (and it seems quite likely) hopefully it gets taken down before any (more?) victims are created.

I don’t know much about this artist in particular, but it looks like the last two pieces of public patreon art has the Boosty link on them (here and here). So it’s probably as legit as the Patreon. Odd that it’s not mentioned elsewhere… There is a Patreon post about having money troubles, but it doesn’t mention the new site.
EDIT: I’m dumb. The Patreon does mention it. But the comment was hidden under a “Load more comments” button…

Definitely agree with this. Frankly, I think this is yet another example of another user stealing the artwork from a well known artist and trying to use it to make money.
Though it makes me wonder why Super AJ would post something like that. That user has apparently been here for 5 years, though they never posted much or commented much. It really makes them questionable as well.
IMHO, even if this is real, if RacoonKun really wants to push a ‘Boosty’ account, he should announce it on Twitter, DeviantArt, etc, where we can be sure it’s actually coming from him, rather than presenting it this dubiously.

True. Come to think of it, the fact that this image was posted without a verifiable source tag should have made me more alarmed. After all, Racoon-Kun does have a Deviantart account, and their art is generally posted both there as well as here on Derpibooru. Past art made by them that is official (including the one you linked) has the Deviantart page liked as a source. I follow RacoonKun on Deviantart, and this specific image was never posted there, meaning that this post is a complete fabrication.
Also, it should also be noted that official RacoonKun posts have information written in the description, generally with links to the artist’s Patreon page.
This image is an edit of: https://derpibooru.org/images/1980929
In my estimation, anybody could have made this, and anybody could have set up an account on this ‘boosty.to’
So can we get more corroboration that this money will actually go to racoonkun?

Well, speaking from experience if my country’s government caused an event that impacted my small business that I was running, then I wouldn’t support them either.
After all, everyone has to earn a living.
@Super AJ
Wouldn’t this be an issue that is affecting all Russian artists in the community? I remember there being quite a few of them, notably Yakovlev-vad and Mirroredsea. I think that most American companies stopped doing business in Russia, meaning this issue is very widespread.
Racoon-kun is a Russian artist who has been completely cut off from all of his Patreon revenue ever since the war with Ukraine began over five months ago. Right now, the only way to support him is to pay for each new individual piece of art, which he only started doing with his latest post.
You can buy his latest art piece for a minimum of 80 rubles ($1.25 USD) but you can also choose to spend more than that if you want to support him more. So please, help this guy out. He doesn’t deserve what’s happening to him.
