I think youre missing my point. Yes fiction can be anything, but it still can represent real things and ideas. If a fictional character or culture is meant to represent a real thing, especially the thing being a minority, taking it away or removing the traits of said culture/people is erasure, regardless of intent or not.
(Also my og comment was just confusion at the inaccuracy of the wavy hair compared to the looser coils of the toy, response to mine kinda kicked this off, by no means am i trying to insinuate the artist did something wrong)
