To generalize a group and say they are not real fans just shows how you have such a narrow view of somthing, SatAM fans or not more or less fans then the ones that clam only the Genesis games are good, or the ones that think there is nothign wrong with the newer games.  
In the end if one small group isn’t then there are not real “true” fans of anything.

Also In Japan Eggman was always Eggman, it was the morons in the US who decided to name him “Robotnik” for… who knows what fucked up reason.
 
They had to stop calling him that however when the videogames had mouth flaps since “Eggman” has fewer flaps then “Robotnik”

Y’know, the artist of this GameboySage, while a nice person sometimes, (I talked to her before) has odd logic like alot of Sonic fans I’ve talked to, I’m sorry to say.  
She’s really upset over the Archie Sonic comic series (which she doesn’t even like) redesigning the SatA.M. characters, especially Sally wearing clothes now, and keeps ranting about it, like it’s the worst thing ever. She keeps trying to imply Archie/Sega are “sexist,” or something for having female animal Sonic characters wear clothes, while the males don’t… (She even tried to take a subtle shot at Archie in her “Sally meets Sly Cooper” fan-comic…)  
Even though that “standard” is in the Sega games to.
 
Why is it so important for Sally to be naked for some people? While I suppose it made her a bit unique, that’s like all they care about her…  
I think all the people on DA hating on Sally wearing clothes are no better then the people who were hating on her for her so-called “nudity” that they always rant about.  
(I tell ya, Archie & Sega can’t win with some Sonic fans.)
 
Also, no offense meant to GameboySage, but she kinda gets on my nerves sometimes… She’s almost like a SJW.

@Psycho333 actually I like to think that g3 was the prequel to g4, and Celestia was once a prissy pony princess, a stereotypical unicorn involved in nothing but parties, tea, and cake. Then some as-yet-unseen-evil came and wrecked their shit, causing Celestia to flee, baby sister in tow, and allowing ponies to fracture and when they finally learned to work together again, Discord shows up and enslaves them in his gangsta trollish paradise. One of Celestia’s parents survived the massacre, and was doing nothing but studying magic, then turn the sisters into immortal alicorns with the last of their magic, to avenge their lost kingdom, topple the reign of Discord, and begin a new kingdom upon the ashes of the old. The sisters went into hiding to train for a few years, then came back, stoned Discord, whupped Sombra’s butt, then Luna went crazy.

I think that’s kinda close-minded, by that logic, then only the black & white Mirage Studios TMNT comics are the only version of TMNT that “matters,” and that we can’t enjoy it’s alternate canons in the other comic series, TV shows, video games, or movies, at all.
 
In fact, Sally’s actually been around longer then most of the game characters. So she’s really not that out of the blue.

Archie doesn’t, SatA.M.‘s canon, and the comic canon are two different canons. So it’s not “overwriting” anything.
 
The comic canon is like a combination of the game canon, as some characters/events/adaptions from the game canon are in the comics, as well as having some characters/events/adaptions from the SatA.M. canon to. Not to mention it has some original/new things of it’s own. That’s why I like them, it’s like a melting pot of different things from the Sonic franchise’s past.
 
If it was only just game-story adaptions, and game characters appearing, it would be to predictable, and run out of stories quickly.
 
No offense, but I get tired of some game-purists saying only the game characters should appear in the comics, as well as some SatA.M.-fans saying the comic should only have the SatA.M. ones, and such. Why can’t it have both like it’s always has?
 
Some paranoid/insane Sonic fans actually are trying to accuse writer Ian Flynn of trying to get rid of the SatA.M. characters, (because Sally was temporarily roboticized, and Antoine was put in a coma a year, and half back, but both are fine now) which isn’t true, and ironically Ian IS a SatA.M. fan, and even put references, and fan in-jokes to that show IN the comic before.  
(Such as the “margarine” joke. Something only SatA.M. fans will get.)

FIM is a different set and continuality that doesnt even have the same characters but can presumably be considered years after the older shows. (Such as before Celestia was born)

So, “My Little Pony” started before FiM, before ANY show, if things should only stick to the canon of how they first where, like the logic you are used, there would be not FiM at all.

FIM as a series came before the toys though, the toys came in on the popularity of FIM (As did season 3 and 4 and like it or not EQG as well as the comics)

By that logic only the toys are canon as that’s what MLP originally was, so why have FiM?

But Sonic was originally a game character therefor the game’s cannon should be the only cannon that matters.
 
It’s not like the MLP Comics try to overwrite the show’s cannon.

I don’t know, honestly, I think she was more “Su-ish” in SatA.M. honestly, but I get kinda tired of the term “Mary-Su.”
 
I do find it weird lately some Sonic fans on DA are calling Sonic comic writer Ian Flynn a “Sally-hater,” just ‘cause he had her temporarily roboticized. (And she was also redesigned recently, yes fans freaked.)  
Which is kinda funny, ‘cause others were accusing him of being a “Sally-fanboy” prior to that. I feel bad for Ian, he always gets accused of hating everyone’s favorite Sonic character/pairing, but he says he’s used to it. (He’s Sonic fan to, so he knows how insane half the Sonic fanbase is.)

Ya, I’m like you when it comes to Sonic, I have’t looked at the comic for a few years now but I do look up info about it from time to time, I criticized the fanbase as well.
