Of course, if he’s a TALKING dog, or if he followed Twilight through the portal and this is just what he ended up as, then I wouldn’t be so mad.

Agreed. But just remember, EG’s is meant to be a spin-off, and not even an accurate one. Twilight is clearly not a teenager, yet in the movie she’s going to high school.
 
Yet I love how I have yet to see someone go to one of her humanized pictures and say “She’s meant to be in high school.”

I still don’t like it, because it’s like saying that Spike is naturally lesser then Twilight and the rest. They’re literally saying that if the Mane 6 were humans, Spike would be a dog. I’d think he’d be a younger kid, not a PET. He is a character! With complexities and dynamics and development. Not an animal.

Kinda agree that I’m tired of seeing people going to human-spike pictures, and saying that.

Despite sounding a little whiny, you do bring up good points. FIM and EQ are in seperate universes, so it really isn’t in the same canon.
