Make Your Mark destroyed most hype the movie created and all the potential fans it gathered left after first chapters. You can personally disagree buy you need to acknowledge the fandom right now is in shambles, like maybe 10% of what it was when G5 Movie aired. BABScon is ending this year because of lack of creators and hype. Tell Your Tale is trying to fix it with great songs and adding lore but with its short lenght and rare release it is like trying to fix a dam leak with a ducktape. What will happen now is Hasbro either selling MLP brand or risking everything with G6. We have to acknowledge that we lost as G5 fandom.

I don’t think that’s what “failed” means but go off I guess

Well, idk.
MYM started at a very aspiring note, and I generally like it, but I can agree that the last was a big downgrade comparing to the earlier chapters. The two-part Roots Of All Evil realy failed to impress me, as i was expecting something much more epic. I do have a theory on why the show jumped the shark, but I’ll tell it, maybe a bit later.
As for TYT. Just remove the toilet humor, change art style to something much more palatable than CalArts style, and basically you’ll get a good show.

If TYT had longer episodes and actual consistent release date AND if MYM didn’t exist this could had been a MLP gen greater than G4

I don’t disagree, but it would work better if you have more objective reasons than personal preference.

Don’t Forget, that it should have been animated in a more interesting and fun 2D hand-drawn animation style, not the very trashy Flash animation there, as the animation art style is a bit more simplified than previous franchise animations
