The Unsung Hero of Government; the Municipal civil servants that are responsible for assuring the most basic of necessities which we take for granted; drinking water from the tap, the electrical grid to encourage pony proliferation among other things, the roads we travel to and fro, and the Chiefs of Public Safety who direct the services which we depend on in times of crisis. These are the front-liners that defend the civil system fron anarchy and disorganization. They are the building blocks of any society. To any onlooker they are simply faceless bureaucrats continuing a thankless career in which they rarely are lauded for their contributions to their society. But those who commit with dedication to the municipal civil service ultimately know that their efforts will not go in vain, that they are the ones who make the call to arms to defend the very fabric of their community from utter disintegration, more often than any state or federal/national government.
