“Yeah~
You know some of it might seem strange~
But don’t think: just OBEY~
Let the ponies play,
’cause we put it in the show, So,
LOVE everything that we say…”
I’m still amazed people are complaining about the wings, though. Yeah, I get complaining about the princess part. Why do you have to get rid of the wings? I know they said in the show that all alicorns are princesses, but if you’re rejecting that episode anyways, why not just reject the princess part?
@Background Pony
I think this person said it best when it comes to Faust’s original plan for the show.
“Want to know what would’ve happened if Lauren had stayed on the show?
There would have been the same requests by Hasbro, and she would have had to find ways to work those in, the same as the current staff do. There would have been discussions between Lauren and the other creative talents about details of various episodes not yet scripted at the time she left. Those discussions would have resulted in Lauren adopting some of their ideas in place of her own, when she was convinced that their ideas were even better than her original concepts. And like the rest of the staff, she herself would’ve seen certain ideas wind up less than stellar once they actually were scripted out and storyboarded in detail. And those things she would’ve changed as well. Overall, her “vision” for the show in 2013/14 would be different from her “vision” as it was in 2011. Just like the current staff’s “vision” in 2013/14 is different from Lauren’s “vision” from 2011. But now that she has no say in what it is, all she can compare “now” to is where she thought it would go two years ago.
If Lauren was still running it, it would not be the same exact show as it is now. But it definitely would not be the same show Lauren thought it would be in 2011 either.”
Most likely this is the reason she can’t watch it, because all she would be doing is pointing out how she would have done it, and not at all just sit back and take the episode in.
And as for what Lauren said about “alicorn” & “princess”, Well Alicorn is understandable as one, I don’t think that name had caught on just yet and two, she most likely would have wanted Twilight to stay a Unicorn just as she original wanted Cadence to just be a Unicorn ( though now it appears she was originally a Pegasus before becoming a Alicorn ). As for the Princess thing that is being kind of vague with Lauren. She said that Twilight was going to be Celestia’s successor, if she did not mean become the next ruler of Equestria, then maybe she meant Twilight would surpass Celestia in magic?
Or maybe she would not be called a Princess but Queen, Empress, President, or Prime Minister Twilight Sparkle.
@PrincessFutamoon
Where has she said she’s disappointed in the show? Why could it not be that doing so would bring up painful memories of leaving the show, or that the show’s just diverged from where she would have gone and she wants to preserve her memories?
@Itsthinking
She’s also pointed out that she never said “alicorn” or “princess” in relation to those plans. Take that as you will.
@Ree
Except the magic that transformed her came from her heart not Celestia’s horn ( even had Twilight’s color coded magic ). A lot of people seem to forget about this.
Looks like Issun the wandering artist is losing his original posting even though he posted it two months earlier, that larger image overrides the original posting really sucks.
