Whoa, let’s get some perspective here.
 
Nobody here is hating on straight people. A lot of fans like straight shippings. I think this piece is receiving downvotes because many have just seen Equestria Girls, and so the idea of Flash Sentry/Twilight is getting a lot of hype.
 
It doesn’t matter that Flash doesn’t have a lot of personality. Having a romance subplot in the movie gave a lot of fans “permission” to think about her being in a romance. Fans fill in the personality from there (not unlike what people do for Comet Tail, who’s had no lines). The problem is that once a shipping becomes widespread, fans don’t offer a lot of freedom for alternatives.
 
Don’t invest too much in the upvote/downvote system. It’s not a reliable gauge for quality.
