@Zennistrad
Were we watching the same episode? Because I distinctly recall each of them doing their own thing what made them special. Not just Twilight doing everything while her sidekicks friends faff about in the background.
This happened under Faust, too. In the pilot she was the catalyst for the Mane 6 venturing into the Everfree to defeat Nightmare Moon, the others were just following along with her.
@Itsthinking
That doesn’t really seem like a thing they can milk a season long story arc from. Things don’t bode well when the episode you want to start your story arc with is an unambiguous idiot plot.
@ColdGoldLazarus
It would be rather easy to float a season long plot through 4-5 episodes (much as was in S1 with the Gala). I don’t know if we need to have a massive character shift as, arguably, the S2 (with bringing in Shining, Cadance, and Chryssy) or S3 finale, but something that the season builds towards would be good.
@ColdGoldLazarus
If there is any implication to this based on the article, that is a “shift in gears” (As the closest we’ve had to a story arc is the events surrounding the Grand Galloping Gala).
@Zennistrad
Wonder what her screening was like. Like you said, doesn’t seem like she did research. To be fair, My Little Pony doesn’t sound like the kind of thing that you’d need to research to an outsider.
@Background Human
I just don’t know, there’s only like three days left. I’m good.
