It’s pretty clearly indicated that the six seasons of MLP cover much less than six years.
 
Also, the EG argument holds no water, because Celestia and Luna are known for a fact to be at least a thousand years old, yet in the EG universe they’re in their 40s at the oldest (and more likely a decade younger).
 
That said, yes, it is also fairly clearly demonstrated that Spike is not a “baby” by any stretch of the term. Even in draconic reckoning, he’s more of a “kid” than anything.

after 6 years its safe to say that the whole baby dragon thing doesnt apply anymore,he aint no baby and has nothing in common with the CMC or other foals.
 
not to mention equestria girls comfirms that the mane 6 are probably in their late teens instead of being fully grown adults like so many people thought.

Is he really? I mean there’s got to be a bit of a difference between pony age and dragon age… not to mention that Spike has had more and more mature moments throughout the series.
 
Now that I think about it, in Gauntlet of Fire absolutely no one protested to him being the new Dragon Lord despite him supposedly being a “child”.

It’s ridiculous to see this much drama about an image, three years apart.

My issue is that with this picture Secret of My Excess has the most interpreted scenes as featured images. This is a sign that the mods are corrupt and are pushing a heavy M.A Larson bias onto us.

No. the only rule we have for featured images is that it must be safe. we’d miss out on some really good images with time limits.

We currently only take featured image nominations from staff to limit the voting pool a little, and there happened to be a 4-way-tie (we feature all that tied in the event of a tie). That’s not to say this isn’t a good image, just that it was among the best currently up for voting.

It’s been a debatable thing since always (considering the ages thing and stuff), but still that doesn’t take out the fact it’s one of the most popular ships in the fandom.
