also i felt it really glazed over a chance to add some substance to spikes character. no instead it became “ lets make some jokes about the ponies personalities and reference some pop culture while were at it!” it had a lot of potential for world building to. maybe bring up some more depth about where such an enchanted comic book came from… besides the comic book shop that sold it. what reason was a magic comic book made for? does it tie in to equestrian history? or maybe the broader world. just… ugh!

I have to agree. The episode was not really interesting to be honest. A shot into left field, colorful, and paced too fast. I rate it at about 6 out of 10. Decent, but hardly one worth watching again.

There was one 4 days ago. Another 8 days ago…10 days ago…then 5 months of nothing.

I’ve seen episodes of other shows with seven credited “writers” at a time. Upwards of three on one episode aren’t exactly rare.

Hollywood-type writing* uses the AP Style Guide which, chief among its sins, hates the Oxford comma and actively discourages its use. It’s why I personally deny the Guide’s very existence except to ridicule it.
