1.) She was reluctant and only changed her mind because it was seriously posing the threat of an apple famine.  
2.) It was poor writing and one of my least favorite episodes of season 4.

Coco DID manage to duplicate Rarity’s whole line in one night by herself. AND spent more time on it to make sure it looked perfect.  
She should get props for that at least.

Character who aided the villain and could’ve explained the design theft to the judging committee is better than character who stuck by Rarity and helped her create new clothes.
