@a6p
When did i say MrRepsion is an MRA? i posted him in a single list with Rbecca Watson and zinnia Jones for Celestia’s sake! these are youtubers that are meant to show that youtube isn’t as bad as tumblr when it comes to social causes. NOT MRAs.
@a6p
Correcting a possible miscommunication:
I said “equal rights for all genders (which all feminists do not accept)”
I meant “equal rights for all genders (which not all feminists accept)”
@ender1200
Are you insane? This just screams to me how tinted your lenses are.
MrRepsion isn’t an MRA, and I don’t recall him ever speaking on behalf of the MRM, or even about the MRM or MRAs. IRONICALLY, while he seems to dodge gender-activism labels, he consistently promotes that men and women should be treated equally.
Sorry I’ve been traveling for the past two days. Am I still welcome? Oh, fuck it.
Let me just say something to hopefully clear the air a little. Pardon the generalization, it may not always apply. Keep in mind that I do not necessarily identify as an MRA because I don’t agree with everything they have to say, but I do at least sympathize.
MRAs exist because despite feminism’s supposed philosophy [equal rights for all genders (which all feminists do not accept)], in practice it mainly promotes women’s rights and not equal rights, and when it does help with men’s issues, it’s usually stated that it’s done because it benefits women, too.
MRAs are tired of their rights being overlooked and their issues being ignored or belittled because of the poisonous idea of “privilege;” that “men have all the rights anyways, it’s absurd to be concerned for their well-being!” They also object to the popular attitude that “men are victimizers” and “women are victimized.” Being white, or being male, does not automatically grant you privileges. If the label of “privilege” could aptly describe any group, it would describe the wealthy.
@Zennistrad
Honestly? I think in less than ten years, the processes and abilities of social activism have been so disrupted and misdirected that I’m not sure they can ever reach their former levels of efficacy.
No, not really. Social media has made it so easy to get messages out to large groups of people that it allows for crazy people from all sides of the political and social spectrum to become much more heard.
@Zennistrad
Is it bad if I think all social activists who use social media as their primary form of communication, regardless of what they’re in support of, are bad?
Can you give me any kind of statistical survey or measurement of all the people who call themselves “feminists” and what they believe? If not, then you’re not exactly in a position to say the entire movement is somehow bigoted.
What you’re saying here more or less sounds like “All feminists are awful and if you don’t see things the same way then you’re dumb.” Well, if that’s really what your argument is, then I’m going to go ahead and call it childish bullshit.
It’s still completely bullshit for you to make a kind of blanket statement about feminism and how it promotes “widespread bigotry.” I get the feeling you have a fairly strong confirmation bias in regards to just how widespread it really is.
@Zennistrad
“Widespread” and “Anecdotes” are mutually exclusive. If I were going to use them to make a point about feminism, I’d be arguing that it was all about equality.
What I should have said is that YT is not a site to take as representative of ANY group.
Oh dear god, you contradicted yourself so hard that I think it gave me an aneurysm.
You claim that a conclusion being drawn about bigotry in MRAs is purely anecdotal, and then you turn around and say that you’re justified in claiming that there’s “widespread, systemic bigotry?”
@ender1200 I was going to ask why kevin biomech wasn’t on there, but then I found out he had all his videos pulled from YT :{ Le sads.
Oh well, you can still indulge in some archaic anarchic wisdom on this forum here
“YouTube comments are full of trolls. Any opinion based only off of those comments is in no way valid.
Based on my experiences around pretty much anywhere on the net, a majority of feminists are female supremacists who take pleasure and pride in man-hating.”
So another person’s perceptions about MRAs aren’t valid due to being based on anecdotes, but your perceptions of feminists based on anecdotes are?
“Solo Male, -Explicit” gives at least 650 results, so whoever is removing the Solo Male tag because they think it only applies to Explicit, you’re wrong.
@ender1200
Uninformed opinion.

@Background Pony #3D02
Notice I said that there are many male suprimacists in the MRM not that all MRA are male suprimacists. I am talking here about my personal expiriance and an impressions that I gathered over several years and I mostly egage These people in the comments, so it will be hard for me to reduce it all to a small list of videos. I am willing to call Jhon the other male suprimacist. If he and the people who are like him are rare exeption among the MRA (I am pretty sure that ) than I am sorry for miscaracterising.
