The problems with Pinkie Pie (and I consider Pinkie Pie to be best pony, so it’s sure not hate in this case) is that we’re constantly being told how she’s the happiest friendliest make-you-smiliest pony ever, yet in terms of screen focus, she seems to be making a jerk of herself, or at least being obnoxious and mood-breaking, at least as often.
 
(Granted, she seems to be better at it when entertaining a crowd, which is something just not often plot-relevant, rather than actually interacting with a pony, but it’s still a little annoying how often she tends to be an outright ass)

This freaked me the fuck out, am I the only one?

Finding it funny is the appropriate reaction. The overly-sensitive pandering to Fluttershy on the part of the special snowflakes here will kill the show far quicker than any liberties taken with the comic relief character.

There is a difference imo  
-When she told everyone that Cranky was bald, she meant he was bald and needed his wig, this was a complete mis undesrtanding from everyone.  
-Here she was supposed to help fluttershy feel good about her singing and what was her line? “No offense, but you sounded like a dude”. How exactly is this going to help her? there is no misunderstanding, just plain out rudeness.
 
Now, I love Pinkie Pie and she always makes me laugh, but just this one episode that she was completely off.

And I’ve found both of those lines hilarious.  
Not sure if that means I’m insensitive, too or if I’m just good at not taking these things too seriously.  
I would like to think it’s the latter…..

Again, I can see your point. Yet of all the mane 6 to be a bit inconsistent, I’d have to say Pinkie would be the most likely candidate.  
It always drives me crazy when people scream “OUT OF CHARACTER!” whenever something doesn’t match up to their expectations of a certain character when the reality is, in real life, people aren’t always perfectly consistent in their personality, either.  
Not sure if everyone else has notices, but the people I’ve known in my life can surprise me by acting a bit different then they normally would, now-and-then.

In seriousness people should know Pinkie being obliviously insensitive isn’t a season 4 only thing. she was pretty bad in season 2 also. the line “you sounded like a dude”reminded me of when Pinkie Pie blurted out that Cranky was bald to EVERYONE.

The irony is that the difference between Gilda and Pinkie was that Pinkie knew that Fluttershy wouldn’t have been able to take those kind of pranks being played on her.
 
She doesn’t seem to have any of that tact here.

Yeah, I can understand your points, there.  
I just can’t get the people calling her the new Gilda and being all “SEE?! WORST PONY RITE GUYS!?”  
There’s just been such a vendetta to point out every little thing Pinkie does ‘wrong’ since about season 3 and it’s beginning to become tiring.  
She’s my favorite pony and yet I find it’s the people who hate her that pay the most attention to her.

The first scene with pinkie and Fluttershy was pretty funny. The rooster call was good too. This scene not so much. I didn’t find her an insensitive jerk here just too overwhelming. the writers need to dial her parts back a bit.

I don’t remember any other episode where Pinkie makes truly unconfortable one of her friends, isn’t she supposed to be the element laughter? and still she made a friend cry 3 times in this episode.

I liked this part. While they did over do it a bit with Pinkie, I still found her to be funny.
