Beware of snark
Wow, I can’t believe people have taken such a horrible view on Spike in comic.
In this canon, Spike is something like a younger brother to Twilight. OF COURSE HE’D WANT TO MOVE OUT INTO HIS OWN PLACE. What teenager doesn’t want his own place to stretch out, call over his/her friends and generally being their own boss?
He’s still friends with Twilight of course, and he comes over and helps with the library because it’s what he’s always done, and he enjoys the time spend with her. Plus it’s effectively his job.
Spike is a freaking dragon, and it only makes sense that as he gets older, he’d want to live in a freaking cave, where he can start amassing his hoard. Because of potential size as an adult, he’d have to move out eventually. Why not now, as the library is kinda crowded.
Spike, like any teenager, would have jumped at the idea of getting away from his “chaperone” and living on his own.
My god, did you people don’t even think about this? Stop vicariously living through Spike, with the desire to live with Twilight. Or stop asserting that Twilight and Spike have a relationship. That’s not the case in my canon, and I’ve also done nothing to contradict the canon of the show.
Simple fact of life: People grow up and eventually move out of their original home. Those who don’t are cripplingly dependent on their parents or care-takers and don’t have healthy life-styles.
