Which is nonesense anyway. Many game projects set their minimum so low that they are BOUND to fail. Look at this bullshit for example. Anyone with a working braincell would’ve figured out that you do not get ‘deep RPG elements, 100+ gameplay hours, and gorgeous artwork’ for 7,500 dollars.
So if a project does something like that (basically faking a pledge to meet the goal), they are either scamming you OR they have NO idea what they are doing and are probably going to fall flat on their face a few months after the kickstarter is done.
After the massive fail that the Ouya is, I stopped paying attention to kickstarter, or at least videogame-related stuff on kickstarter. The other stuff I pledged towards before that is coming together nicely, but I would never again give money to a game on kickstarter.

All you really need to do is find a friend with a little bit of extra cash and ask them to help you out. They’ll make a big donation, but with the promise that you’ll give them the money back in full (or even pay them!) after kickstarter withdraws it from their account. So a project that’s on the verge of collapse can suddenly take ALL the cash even though the last bit of money was never going into the project.

Well, with 150 backers, almost half of which were minimum… can someone tell me how easy it is to toss up fake donations for Kickstarter? Ones that won’t go through come collection day? ‘Cause I’m suspecting there’s several.
