I loved Mako. I completely felt what he was going through, at least throughout season 1. Haven’t gotten to watch any of season 2 yet, so I can’t say anything about that.  
But that hamster is too buff to be Mako. He’s a scrawny dude.

I can at least say with confidence that I’d rather hang out with Bolin than Mako. Out of the whole cast, though, I’d probably want to hang out with Uncle Iroh (he counts! He’s in Legend of Korra!).

Uh-huh. Sure. He’s only a brother who’s looking out for Bolin, someone who didn’t want Korra to do anything stupid and was trying to get over a brutal breakup with her like any other person would do.
