I don’t think Spitfire is the top ranking Wonderbolt. She and possibly other captains must have some members higher than them. Spitfire is just one of the more famous one.

And it’s so funny you say that about Fleetfoot; I thought about her as a candidate, but when I look at it from the Wonderbolts’ point of view, Soarin’s the only one that’s almost as good, if not just as good as Spitfire as far as skill.
 
Not to mention they’re possibly close friends. But then again, the same could be said for Fleetfoot, I suppose

The reason why I chose Spitfire as Malik, is because of how Rainbow respects Spitfire as a idol. Just as how Asbel looks up to Malik has a teacher.
