The cartoon itself I only somewhat hate on its own merits. What pushes it into loathing territory is the fact that they stole the name and about half of the concept from their older shows. Hey, lets make not!Dexter’s Lab and name it not!Jonny Quest.

While that is also true, I have to say that we’ve probably done way more in just getting the word out that the show exists out there to parents and kids and whomever than you initially let on, especially given that the Hub is a pay-only channel.

The Simpsons is all one big series while the older MLPs are all different series.

You might just as well see “MLP” and “FiM” as one, since you didn’t separate the old Simpsons from the “new ones” as well :)

Um, no. Bronies have helped, but if the show weren’t popular with the target audience, and inspired them to buy/request the toys, it wouldn’t have lasted this long.

Technically, Tirek was the 30th anniversary special in a way. They didn’t advertise it as such, but Tirek was the first villain in MLP (hell, it was the first episode ever for MLP as a series).
 
So 100th episode… can be a possibility. They probably won’t advertise it though?

I hope they’ll do something special for the 100th episode.Cant see them going as long as The Simpsons or One Piece,however.Hasbro will want to sell other variations of pony toys sooner or later.Maybe they’ll go as long as SpongeBob however

Muh FAITH, in Humanity!!

Would Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra would be considered either two series because of the second being a spin-off, or the same series because it takes place in the same world? If they are the same, then they made it to about 100 episodes then, with Season 3 of TLoK to come.
 
And there’s also the Total Drama series, even though the writing got really terrible starting in Seasons 2 and 3.
