He drew lots of pictures of humanized unicorn Twilight. I really don’t see the shame of alicorn-self not being drawn here when the theme is ‘equal fighting team’

We’re on Derpibooru, remember? A lot of people on this site will go ‘H8!’ if someone isn’t on board with Princess Twilight Sparkle. They see them as crazy people or losers even if they have legitimate reasons.
I am perfectly okay with him not wanting to draw S4 alicorn Twilight, and others should respect his reasons. Lets just enjoy the awesomeness of this picture.

Its actually pretty sensible when you think about it.
Sundown originally designed the Mane 6 humans to be uniquely powerful and equal based on their strengths of affinity, race and personality.

Giving someone an unnatural race upgrade and power boost makes the artist, in this case Sundown, scratch their head and think ‘this team is uneven, I don’t want to draw/write an uneven team just because the execs and/or writers thought making one of the six a ‘superior’ princess was a good idea’
This isn’t alicorn drama, its just a perfectly natural response. Unless everybody considered Twilight the most unfortunate and weakest of the 6 BEFORE she was a alicorn, alicorn Twilight will thematically seem like a pretty broken character even if she’s not a full mary sue. She got a race upgrade, she was arbitrarily made a princess, and ‘destiny’ wants to give her a freakin castle and kingdom in the middle of Ponyville. You don’t get much more broken then that.
He likely would of drawn her if she was Rainbow Power Unicorn Twilight. Personally, I always think of her spunky, unicorn self when I think of Twilight Sparkle off the top of my head :)
How come Sundown barely draws Twilight? I mean, he never draws Spike, but here he is! It’s an awesome-ass pic, making even the Rainbow Power look badass, but it’s missing Twilight!
