I stand by my theory that she’s chosen as the fat once because she’s the comic relief, and that’s generally the only role Hollywood casts fat people in.
Sounds like my uncle. My Dad said that uncle always looked like he came out of a concentration camp even when he was like five years old (he still is thin at the time I post this and always was thin when I saw him in person, in video and in photos) and Dad said Uncle missed school a lot due to sickness.

So is the idea of a truly “healthy” body. No matter what we’re always in a state of being sick or fighting off infection, diseases and other illnesses. We only get “sick” when our body lets something through! Something breaks the line of our bodily defenses!
@Narlepoax III
Techically a person could be Obese even if they have no body fat. I mean hell, technically obese for an average 5’5 person is overweight if they’re over 150 pounds. Obese at 180 and way over at 240. Even if it’s all muscle it’s morbidly obese!
So we could conclude Bulk Biceps is the most obese pony in the show.

It’s very stupid to be arguing headcanon against headcanon. I suppose the only reason I’m so… “invested” in this one is because of the particular circumstances in it.
It seems to me that those arguing against fat Pinkie are only doing so because they don’t really understand the body. They don’t realize that fat works differently from the public opinion.
Some people just have the genes to be fat. No matter how physically active they are, they are still fat.
Aside from that, fat is not inherently unhealthy. There’s nothing wrong with having fat. Everyone has fat. Even plants have fat. The only correlation between being overweight and being unhealthy is that modern society makes unhealthy lifestyles very easy to support, and such lifestyles usually create overweight people.
You can be both healthy and overweight. You can be both unhealthy and thin.
@BarryFromMars
I should have paid more attention to the comment section then. I’m a Minutemen fan, as well :)
For you others; while one can always argue Pinkie’s eating habits vs. Pinkie’s activity as reasons for why she would, or not would be overweight it really does not matter. It’s all headcanon, after all. I like fat pinkie because I among a few reasons think it’s interesting to see how the lifestyles of the ponies would reflect on their humanized self and because I know there’s a huge variety of body shapes (height, weight, posture, build etc) out there. Many people share this view, but might have a different headcanon in mind where they might think of one the other ponies as the heavy set one. And some prefer a more unison look and aren’t as interest in body shape variation. And there’s nothing wrong with either. Just personal headcanons.
I say just make ‘em all fat chicks, if we’re going to keep arguing about it.
@Lazy_Beat
Chris Farley was quite athletic, did his own physical comedy, and could do cartwheels, and such. Some chubby people are quite strong/athletic.
Fat people can’t be active? Of course, I agree that being overweight is not healthy, but again I don’t think that means there is anything wrong with overweight people. We shouldn’t take away people’s individual worth just because of it.
