I think the cat is suggesting that Discord likes Fluttershy.
Discord: What? Oh, Fluttershy? She’s just a friend.
Baast: There’s no need to lie, Discord. You forget that I know you and you don’t have friends.
Discord says that Fluttershy is just his friend, and Baast says that he doesn’t have friends. So Fluttershy is not just a friend.
And Fluttershy and Baast don’t like each other.

I actually can’t see him with Applejack; I’d think everything about her would bore him. She’s too opposite to him; at least Celestia and Twilight are on the same wavelength, just inverted. Applejack’s on a completely different domain.
Rainbow Dash I can see; she hates him, and he doesn’t have a lot of patience with her, but under other circumstances they actually have things in common. They’re both competitive, they both like pranks, they both think whatever it is they like is the most important thing, they’re both abrasive… they’d get along fine if they weren’t enemies. :-)
I can also very much see Luna. We’ve never seen Discord and Luna interact at all, but I would not be at all shocked if they turned out to have a thing.
I kind of like reading Discopie fanfics, but personally I can’t see them as anything other than good friends at best. Right now they’re a lot more up and down than that (Pinkie offers to take care of him when he’s sick, but on several other occasions joins in with the rest of them in accusing him or acting like he’s a giant nuisance), but they could become friends.
Dunno about Rarity. Partly I think she would annoy the crap out of him (and we know for a fact he annoys her), partly I think they’re both artists in ephemeral media and Inspiration Manifestation proves that if Rarity had Discord’s powers she’d go every bit as crazy with them as he did.

Actually he is that chaotic that he would probably have a thing also for Luna, Rainbow Dash and Applejack. Every shipping work for Discord since he woudnt have his preferations. Out of irony probably only Pinkie would be the only one who woudnt appease to him just because her character would be too perfect for him and perfect match is a sign of order

Keep in mind Discord and Celestia may be thousands of years old, and Baast pretty much admitted she knew Discord was always going to be a short-term fling. Unless you think that a dude having a hookup in college proves that he never had a girlfriend in high school, there is no conflict between Discord/Baast-Celestia/Sombra and Discord/Celestia… they just don’t take place at the same times. Celestia had a thousand years, at least, where Discord was in stone, and who knows how long before that when he was wreaking havoc when she was fighting him and they obviously weren’t together; that’s significantly longer than most marriages to have been with Good King Sombra without overlapping any time period that she could have been with Discord. And we don’t know exactly when Discord had his time travel adventures, but we also don’t know how old Discord is.
You can certainly have objections to Dislestia for many reasons, but “it’s not possible because Discord/Baast and Celestia/Sombra” is a terrible one. Most people have more than one relationship in their lives, why wouldn’t immortal magical beings?
Also, Discord/Baast does not actually indicate full-on Discolight; it indicates possibly that Discord could potentially have an interest in Twilight, which anyone who watched Three’s A Crowd already knew, but Baast is a very different character than Twilight. Baast is a rebel leader; Twilight lives near the height of the status quo for her society, a treasured student of the revered eternal ruler. Baast is actually probably more like Celestia than she is like Twilight, given that Celestia led a rebellion against Discord himself, but then, Celestia and Twilight are probably very similar ponies raised under completely different circumstances. And really Baast is her own character because she’s a cat. I cannot see Twilight or Celestia being so openly jealous of anyone and particularly not the current “friend”-not-girlfriend-yet of their ex. She may be a Twilight analogue, but as soon as you say “what if Twilight were a cat and a rebel leader and an action girl rather than a sedentary scholar” you have a completely different character. I totally think Discord has a thing for Twilight for the exact same reason I think he has a thing for Celestia and Q has a thing for Picard and Janeway, but I can’t see Twilight reciprocating anytime soon because everything about her life has taught her to seek control and reject chaos. Baast is a revolutionary and Discord helped her fight her revolution; of course she’s willing to embrace chaos.
Frankly I don’t understand the impulse to try to force chaos into patterns of monogamy anyway. Of course he has a thing for Baast, Celestia, Twilight and Fluttershy, he’s chaos. I wouldn’t rule out him having had a crush on Tirek, either. Who he hooks up with depends entirely on who has a thing for him.

Dislestia? If anything DiscoLight shippers may bit something from it although its mainly a Fluttercord tease. There is a very little possibility that Discord and Celestia were ever together when Discord was with Baast in the past and Celestia was with Sombra. Unless they cheated, it doesnt make sense.
Now the thing is, if Celestia and Discord DID have a relationship in the past, I can’t see it being anything other than dysfunctional if not totally abusive.
So basically Discord can visit all of his past lovers by time travel. So he shoudnt be sad when they pass away. I guess sad fanfics about his immortality are now easier to swallow.

He’s not technically lying if he hasn’t admitted to Fluttershy yet how he really feels about her, since “just a friend” doesn’t exclude “but wish we were more”.
But yeah, he is totally a lying liar what lies here, even if he’s not-lying on a technicality.
