i prefer the ‘tag and bink’ explanation about boba fett rather than him crawling out of the sarlacc (still doesn’t erase the fact that a blind guy accidentally knocked him over).
 
maybe the disney guys learned about archie comic’s problem with one of their writers and rather than have a writer go after them over creative, they decanonized pretty much everything.

Suppose the one annoying thing is that Boba Fett is now canonically Sarlac chow. Also funny coincidence: article in the paper today mentioned that Lucas has absolutely nothing to do with the new SW films. Apparently he even gave a script to Disney which they completely ignored.

i guess it’s a business and storywriting choice they purged the extended universe stuff. kinda hard making new stuff when you have to put the EU in consideration (story) and probably have to pay the writers of those some kind of royalty in referencing their work (business).
