Well, we know that most of the fathers (or any male pony) are not really important to the show (except for Spike). But it’s her decision who she ships, and you should have made that wish a LONG time ago.

well, realistically, from the pool of male characters in the show, there is in many other options she could have taken. And she set up her fictional story back when before some of the more appropriate male characters were introduced

Ships that are only chosen because they are safe and common, but are overdone. I think she said she chose the parents by color, too, not by romantic compatibility, besides Sparity.
 
I think it’s a good thing, so the children can expand as characters without being overshadowed or compared too closely to their parents.

Yeah, as cute as this is, I wish Kilala chose better ships than the usual generic ones. At the very least she didn’t do Fluttermac.
 
The good thing, though, is that she hardly shows the parents, nevermind the fathers.
