Yeah, I thought of the talkative thing too. I just imagine him screaming about “memessss” and “paramagnetic…crystalssss” the same way groot does the whole “I am groot” thing and somehow flutter-raiden can understand him as a gag.
 
Meh, I just don’t see him as Sundowner in the physical sense. Don’t get me wrong, I agree he’s cruel and I’m sure Sombra would LOVE having the ability to do something as complex as creating his own VR sears program. Doesn’t fit the fighting/movement style I saw him display in the show though.

Sundowner’s personality can carried over perfectly into Sombra and Sombra would much more likely prefer to hack and slash his way through enemies using massive machetes rather than using the Lorentz Force. Plus, Monsoon is very talkative and philosophical. I doubt Sombra would be into philosophy in the first place. As for Mistral, she does quite a few poses herself and we all know how good Fleur de Lis is at posing.

Eh what the hell I’ll go ahead and explain some of my decisions. I’ll say from the get go I did it by their inherent builds and mannerisms more than anything.
 
Lighting dust is a good suggestion, but I don’t remember her mannerisms being as egotistical and haughty enough for me to really justify it (though I guess Lighting dust does show off enough. BTW did they flesh her out in the second movie or something? I haven’t seen it). Plus you know, allicorn blade and all that; the amulet has been fused to the hilt and glows red with heat and hungers for blood due to it’s corruption which this time is wisely sealed in a blade instead of her body.
 
Sombra is like 99% incorporeal in all of his screen-time and I’d imagine would be very tricky to connect with physical attacks much like monsoon. while Sombra put out tons of dark energy and reality warping corruption out I never saw him get very physical, and he didn’t even appear that large in his base form; contrast that against sundowner’s large tank-like build, and penchant for brute force over things like attacking your mind and shrouding the area in darkness so you can’t lock on to him. Sundowner just seemed to fight too much like a cheap thug to be cast by someone as crafty and sneaky as Sombra.
 
Speaking of Sundowner, really I only choose Gilda because of her and fluttershy’s relationship, as there are other larger more ferocious brutes that might have a build and nature that fit better, like dragons, diamond dogs, or Ahuizotl (plus I kind of like the idea of Gilda and Trixie hanging around each other and not entirely hating each other).
 
Discord could be monsoon instead if I had chosen anyone else other than fluttershy but the idea of discord being an infinitely more effective version of that goofy sword from “roger rabbit” was just too amusing to me. plus it kind of explains how the blade can shift to a tactical sai, a polearm, or a giant pair of scissors out of nowhere.
 
fleur de liz? come on, just because she’s french? how do we even know Lyra isn’t french when it’s not like she’s really even had a line in the show? The Lyra meme just makes way more sense.
 
Now on Armstrong, you are pretty spot on (especially since discord is fluttershy’s sword and considering what he did to discord in the season finale). There is little excuse for what is essentially OC nepotism here. I actually had the idea BEFORE Tirek was introduced though, so I was just going with my original plan :P. Sorry artist, but you fucked up big time. Sombra should be Sundowner, Fleur de Lis as Mistral, Discord as Monsoon, Lighting Dust or Gilda as Jetstream Sam and Tirek as Senator Armstrong.

Pfft, Jetstream Sam is far too cool to be portrayed in such a way.
