Well, Sunset did mention that a bunch of Changelings were exiled before ACW. And after the events of that episode, some probably ended up dead due to starvation or the impact against a mountain, so it’s not a huge stretch to imagine that these Changelings are it. Plus, they lost both Queens, so even if this isn’t all of them, they’re kinda screwed in terms of repopulation.

I’m pretty sure wiping them out in this situation was actually justified. Genocide is a very different thing from what we’re seeing here.
Like I was saying, I can kind of see what Beavernator was GOING for, even if I think that he ultimately failed to execute it properly.
Besides, I highly doubt that these Changelings are the entirety of the Changeling race anyway. This is maybe, what, 200 Changelings? There’s no way the entirety of the Changeling race is that small.
Also, are you SP-441 on Deviantart? Because your comments are exactly the same over there.
@Jarkes
Considering that they were responsible for the murder of Celestia and haven’t been exactly portrayed as anything but leecherous psychotic monsters, I doubt that Sunset frying them will be portrayed as anything other than a heroic action.
I think the part that’s intended to be gray is the fact that she just killed a bunch of sentient creatures, who may not have necessarily been evil. That’s why she’s crying: she knows this and doesn’t want to take this option, but has no other choice.
Mind you, I’ll admit that this storyline of his has some problems… but I like the concepts behind it, and even though I think they weren’t necessarily executed well, I can kind of see what his intentions were.
@Ms. Harshwhinny
I don’t think Beavernator really knows what Grey morality is… Heroically sacrificing yourself to save a nation after defeating all of it’s enemies is… not gray.
Okay, I’ll admit there have definitely been some issues with this story (the pacing in particular seems to go back and forth between “way too quick” and “snail’s pace”), but you can’t deny that this was freaking badass.
